The Pine-Richland School District is anticipating receiving a grant award to help qualified junior and senior students with the costs of earning college credit while in high school. A Dual Enrollment agreement has been established with Chatham University. Students will receive both high school and college credit for courses taken under the grant program. However, the college grade will not be considered in calculation of high school GPA or class rank. The Chatham University Dual enrollment agreement is attached and on-line. Please read all sections of this agreement. The agreement outlines the specifics of the Chatham University program and registration process. The Chatham University dual enrollment courses are offered in the evening at Eden Hall Campus. Chatham University fall program registration is now open. The cost for a course at Chatham University is approximately $420.00. Costs for tuition, books and fees must be paid directly to Chatham University. In addition, students must provide their own transportation to Chatham University Eden Hall Campus. Grant funds received by the district will be used to partially reimburse parents for the costs of Chatham University courses. We anticipate the reimbursement rate to be approximately 50% reimbursement. However, the rate has varied from year to year depending on the state budget, i.e., reimbursement rate could be more or less. Grant "slots" will be filled on a "first come, first served" basis.

To participate in the Chatham University program, your child must return the enclosed signed "Letter of Interest and Intent"  to the Pine-Richland High School Guidance Office. Do not register at Chatham University before receiving high school approval and getting the Chatham University "Non-Degree Seeking Student"  program application form from the high school guidance office. If your child is approved for the program, your child must register for the course at Chatham University according to course availability, registration procedures, requirements and deadlines.

To be considered for participation in this program, your child must return the enclosed signed "Letter of Interest and Intent"  to the Pine-Richland High School and receive high school approval before registering at Chatham University. Fall course registration is now open.
