Beattie Career Center Overview
Students interested in becoming licensed in technical fields by the time they graduate from high school may take courses at A.W. Beattie Career Center on Babcock Boulevard. Beattie offers licensing programs in:
- Technology (advanced computer programming, advertising design, agile robotics and intelligent systems, business and information technology, computer systems technology and network engineering technology)
- Consumer Services (cosmetology, culinary arts, early childhood education and pastry arts)
- Mechanical Careers (auto body repair, automotive technology, carpentry, building construction and heating, ventilation and air-conditioning)
- Medical Careers (dental arts, emergency response technology, and health science technologies)
With these licenses, students are equipped for entry-level jobs in the careers of their choice upon graduation from high school.
Additionally, Beattie offers courses in Mandarin Chinese that students at Pine-Richland can take as well.
