The SAT will be given at Pine-Richland High School on Saturday, March 13, 2010. The regular registration deadline is February 10, 2010
Graduation Requirements for Pine-Richland High School
Required Credits
  • 4 credits in English (1 credit in grades 9, 10, 11 and 12)
  • 4 credits in Social Studies      
  • 3 credits in Science
  • 3 credits in Math
  • 2.5 credits in Health and Physical Education (Physical Education is required all 4 years).
  • 8 credits in electives (must include one Fine or one Applied Arts course)
Recommended Credits

Three years of the same world language, while not required for graduation, are strongly recommended for all students.  Four years of math and four years of science are strongly recommended for students intending to apply to competitive colleges.

Promotion Requirements
  1. For promotion from ninth to tenth grade, a student must have earned at least 6 credits in ninth grade.
  2. For promotion from tenth to eleventh grade, a student must have earned a combined total of at least 12 credits in ninth and tenth grades.
  3. For promotion from eleventh grade to twelfth grade a combined total of at least 18 credits is required.
Special Considerations:
  • Regardless of the number of promotion credits, students must pass all required subjects to graduate.
  • The Graduation Project must be successfully completed in order to graduate.
Promotion requirements are reviewed at the end of each year. Students and parents are informed if a student is not promoted.
